"I paint, poised on the emotional current, to represent in the here and now: sensations, emotions and experiences; harmony and beauty, in a dynamic pictorial frame, telling at the same time more intimate and significant parts of me."
Always been passionate about Visual Arts and Design, I have a long Artistic education, which led me for over 20 years to work in the field of graphic advertising, web design and web marketing.
After many years spent mainly in front of a monitor processing images digitally, in 2015 I was diagnosed with Cancer, and I felt strongly the need to return to the roots of a deeper feeling, devoting more time to an expression of my soul through the medium capable of exploring the deepest part of me; so in 2016 I resumed painting.
Mine is a creative, creative and therapeutic need; it is a journey of creative and emotional awareness. In painting I find the expressive freedom that goes beyond the obstacles of the society in which I live and fix my gaze beyond the visible. In my works I want to convey an emotional state that can arouse different emotions and feelings in the viewer who draws nourishment.
I portray my subjects directly on the surface without a preparatory drawing, in this way the images are formed on the canvas and are modeled under the strokes of the brush and the spatula; they are revealed, sometimes defined and sometimes incomplete, from the inside to the outside without mediation; and I am an intermediary, the observer of an atmosphere of the soul, of suspended thoughts caught in the instant of a photogram.
I paint, poised on the emotional current, to represent in the here and now: sensations, emotions and experiences; harmony and beauty, in a dynamic pictorial frame, telling at the same time more intimate and significant parts of me.
The main protagonist of my artistic research are women, the vehicle par excellence of emotion, feelings and beauty, symbol of creation and power, symbolic embodiment of passion and love. Portrayed absorbed in their own thoughts, in their own emotions, often unaware of the presence of those who observe them. There is in each of them a story, a personality, an emotional state that is told and reflected in different ways on the viewer.
